Student Body and Eligibility

While our desire is to expand our school to reach more special needs students, eligibility is based on the capacity of the staff to position each prospective student for success. Mercy High Way is currently equipped to meet the needs of students that exhibit an intellectual and developmental difference and do not display behaviors which would require less than a 1:8 (Intermediate and Secondary) classroom ratio. At this time, we are not supporting students in need of Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) Therapy but hope to expand our services to be able to adequately meet the needs of these students in the future.

The school acceptance process currently consists of an application, submittal of past IEP reports, completed Mercy High Way SOR report and a family interview. Mercy High Way values each family and student and will suggest alternative programs if they feel Mercy High Way is not a good fit. In addition, Mercy Road Initiatives, Inc. will continue to welcome families to join our community programs that offer enriching support to the local community.
